FRX Rules and Regulations 2008 Points and Championship For 2008 the Formula RallyX Series points system has been changed to: 10-8-7-6-5-4-3-2 (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.) and is scored per region (NorCal, SoCal, etc.). Each participant may drop 25% of a given region's events, dependent on the actual number of events held at the end of the year (allowing for any canceled or added events). For example, if NorCal holds eight events in the course of a season, participants may drop the results of their two lowest-scoring events. Scores will be held as provisional and contestable for two weeks from the date they are first posted online. After the two week provisional period, FRX points will be awarded and considered final. National Championship format is TBD. Classes Rallycross Championship points will be awarded in Street Stock 2wd, Street Stock 4wd, Street Modified 2wd, Street Modified 4wd, Rally 2wd and Rally 4wd classes. Two-wheel drive cars are not eligible to run in any four-wheel drive class. There is no price limit for any of the classes. Street Stock 2wd (SS2) & Street Stock 4wd (SS4): These classes are for cars that have limited performance modifications, and are using street tires. Street tires do not include ice/winter specific tires (designated by the mountain/snowflake emblem), light truck tires (designated by “LT” on the sidewall), or tires designated for rally or competition use. SS2 will be for two-wheel drive cars and SS4 will be for four-wheel drive cars. Street Stock cars must be stock (or equivalent) with the following exceptions:
Street Modified 2wd (SM2) & Street Modified 4wd (SM4): These classes are for cars that have been modified beyond the limits detailed above and are using street tires or ice/winter specific tires (designated by the mountain/snowflake symbol). Light truck tires (designated by “LT” on the sidewall) are not allowed, nor are tires designated for rally or competition use. SM2 will be for two-wheel drive cars and SM4 will be for four-wheel drive cars. Rally 2wd & Rally 4wd: Cars running tires that do not qualify for the "Street" classes will be placed in either the Rally 2wd or Rally 4wd class.
